Application Engineer

About the role

The Application Engineer is responsible for writing and maintaining application code in a high-level language (XML), translating biological manufacturing processes into machine instructions. In this role, you will perform developer testing, participate in integration testing, and contribute to technical reports. You will also support key customers and application users by analyzing machine data and contributing to investigation reports.

We are looking for

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• First experience in software engineering ; ideally within an R&D department in the life sciences industry.
• Hands-on experience or solid understanding of software programming, along with proven participation in software development methodologies and source code management (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, GitHub).
• Full professional proficiency in English is required.

Preferred Qualifications / Assets:

• Practical knowledge or experience with CI/CD concepts and Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in a markup language (e.g., XML, TeX, HTML) or Python.
• Practical knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and frameworks (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, cGMP), particularly for the US and European markets.
• Proficiency in French is a strong advantage.
