
Junior IT Helpdesk Officer - 4-month mission, potentially extendable - 80%
A well-established international organisation based in the Geneva area is currently looking for a Junior IT Helpdesk Officer to join its internal IT support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior profile passionate about IT, eager to develop hands-on experience in a professional, international environment.

About the role
As part of the IT Helpdesk team, you will provide Level 1 IT support to on-site and remote users. You will be involved in day-to-day technical support activities and contribute to the smooth running of IT services. This is a dynamic role offering exposure to a wide range of technologies and user interactions.
Work tasks
- Provide comprehensive end-user support (first line)
- Handle incidents and service requests through a ticketing system
- Collect and analyse information to diagnose technical issues
- Escalate tickets and collaborate with other IT team members when needed
- Prepare and configure computers and mobile devices
- Install and configure software and standard IT tools
- Contribute to user guides and IT documentation
We are looking for
- Diploma, certification, or education in IT or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role (Candidates with internships, traineeships, or strong personal interest in IT are welcome)
- Good understanding of:
- Microsoft Windows environments
- Microsoft 365 and related applications
- Basic hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts
- Any exposure to SharePoint, Microsoft Entra or Azure is a plus
Skills & Competencies
- Fluent in French and English (level C1)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-oriented mindset and ability to work with non-technical users
- Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving approach
- Well organised, proactive, and eager to learn
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Reliable, responsible, and motivated to grow in an IT career
